Introduction

Not just a children's story anymore! Welcome to my exploration of Author L.Frank Baum's beloved story "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" as a story embedded with varying religious and anti-religious perspectives.

As indicated on the navigation bar to the left of your screen, I will be discussing three religious perspectives: Buddhism, Christianity, and Atheism. To Access my discussion on each of the perspectives, simply click on the titles to your left and decide for yourself whether the information provided supports Dorothy's adventure in Oz as a simple children's fantasy story or is it a text that cleverly uses the components of children's literature to mask an extensive exploration of religion?
